Perry Homes significant to residential development in growing cities.
Perry Homes builds in two of the fastest growing cities in the state. According to information released by the U.S. Census Bureau, as reported in the Austin Business Journal, from July 2000 to July 2006, Hutto ranked as the state’s fastest growing city with a growth rate of more than 600 percent. Kyle ranked as the state’s fifth.
Hutto’s population, according to published information, increased from 1,250 in 2000 to more than 17,000 in 2006.
While the city’s population is booming, retail development is also on the rise with a new mixed use development, The Crossings at Carmel Creek, expected to celebrate a ground breaking in 2008. The 468-acre development is set to include quality retail spaces, outdoor shops and offices in a pedestrian-friendly environment.
In Hutto, Perry Homes builds in Star Ranch. The community is adjacent to Star Ranch Golf Course, an 18-hole daily-fee golf course with a 15,000-square-foot clubhouse with a pro shop and restaurant.
Star Ranch offers easy access north to Georgetown and south to Austin via the Texas 130 Toll Road. Also near the community is Texas 45, designed to improve transportation around the Austin area.
Perry Homes in the 50-foot homesite section of Star Ranch are priced from the $190,000s and range from 1,700 to 2,700 square feet. Homes in the 60-foot homesite section are priced from the $200,000s and range from 2,200 to 3,800 square feet.
Perry Homes also builds in Four Seasons Farms in Kyle with one- and two-story homes ranging from 1,900 to 3,100 square feet and priced from the $180,000s.
Homeowners can experience a home-town feel with all the benefits of the city in Four Seasons Farm, the gateway to the Texas Hill Country. Near San Marcos, just off I-35, the community offers an ideal commute to both Austin and San Antonio. A city park with recreational areas, a playground, walking trails and a resort-style public swimming pool are nearby. Plus, Schlitterbahn Water Park, Sea World, Fiesta Texas and the Austin music scene are just a short drive away.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Kyle's population increased from 5,314 in 2000 to 20,655 in 2006, an increase of 289 percent.
The city’s growth has attracted commercial development, including a new HEB Plus, as well as plans for a new hospital and a manufacturing facility.
“Kyle is positioned and ready to become a hub for not only residential development, but also commercial, manufacturing and retail development,” said City Manager Tom Mattis, in a press release on the city’s web site. “Our goal is to continue to develop Kyle into a full-service community where our residents can live, play and work.”
