For more than 41 years, Perry Homes has been a part of the Houston landscape, building homes that blend quality construction with versatile design. The Wounded Hero Home Program is an ideal match for us to give something back to the community that has supported us for years. The Wounded Hero Home Program is designed to provide new homes for veterans injured in Iraq or Afghanistan. Perry Homes built the first home in this program in Cinco Ranch in Katy, Texas and is proud to design and build homes in support of this program.

Most recently, Perry Homes completed a home for wounded war veteran Captain Daniel Moran, USMC and his family. This home, located in Bridgeland marks the seventh home constructed by Perry Homes for the HelpingaHero.org Home Program. The home was presented to the family on August 31st with a number of special guests attending, including Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Houston Astros Legend Craig Biggio.

As part of the program, Perry Homes’ team of professional designers modifies existing plans to fit the needs of the soldiers. In Bridgeland, Perry Homes built Plan 3391W for Moran and his family. This plan offers 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths in 3,391 square feet.

"It is a privilege to be a part of this tremendous program honoring members of our military troops," said Jarod Mouton, Perry Homes Division President. "These men and women sacrifice so much to protect our rights and freedom. Their efforts are built on a solid foundation of strength and courage, and it is with pride that we are able to give something back to them."

HelpingAHero.org works to provide new homes for veterans injured in Iraq or Afghanistan. Plans are in place for the organization to build more than 20 homes in six states this year. Perry is currently building its eighth home for the program, which will be presented to U.S. Army Spec. Dillon Cannon later this month.

Perry Homes has contributed other homes in various communities including Lakeshore, Riverstone and Summerwood.
