New Homes in New Braunfels Area

City of San-Antonio

Popular among weekenders and residents alike, New Braunfels offers a multitude of attractions, including Natural Bridge Caverns, Schlitterbahn water park and historic buildings, like Gruene Hall.

Gruene Historic District is a hot spot for out of towners due to its German heritage. A German family founded the town in the 1840’s and built houses in various styles. Over the years, the Texas Historical Commission has helped preserve the turn-of-the-century look and feel of the structures and businesses so that people will come from far and wide to visit, awarding some medallions to certain buildings which were rescued. It has now been added to the National Register of Historic Places. Texas style rock bands still perform at Gruene Hall and there is an abundance of small shops to stop in for some delicious homemade jam or unique handmade jewelry.

New Braunfels is also home to delicious Texas dining options and an expansive craft brewing scene. Gruene in particular hosts some mouth watering German food and bars known for their top level local beer.

Residents of New Braunfels love the outdoor beauty of the area. The Guadalupe and Comal Rivers wind through leafy parks, such as Cypress Bend and Landa, leaving plenty of water to wade through and greenery to enjoy. Just a short drive to San Antonio, a weekend getaway to the famous River Walk and historical spots like The Alamo are great adventures for the whole family.

New Braunfels Independent School District services students in the region, with over 9,000 students and 1,200 employees.
