Austin and features 47 parks and 22 miles of trails. Part of Williams County, over 48,000 people live inside Cedar Park. Originally settled by Native American tribes including the Tonkawa, the Lipan Apache and the Comanche, Cedar Park was eventually inhabited by George and Harriet Cluck in 1873 after buying 329 acres of land in the area. George and Harriet Cluck’s cattle ranch would later become a key player in Cedar Park’s community and cause the town to expand. After the Austin and Northwestern Railroad was finished being built in 1882, people could more easily travel by train for park trips during the day. Students attend the

Home to some gorgeous landscape, Cedar Park also has a beautiful 400 year old tree named the Heritage Oak Tree which is decorated with twinkling lights each year in December. The fifty-seven foot tall tree is a cherished part of Cedar Park and beloved by residents.
