Rich with Texas history, the small-knit community of Castroville provides the perfect backdrop for idyllic family living. You can take the gang for a dip in the well-kept Castroville Regional Park Swimming Pool or to read some enchanting children’s books at the Public Library in the summer. Students will attend Medina ISD, a small district which starts in Bandera County but extends into Kerr County.
Attractions in Castroville include the historic Steinbach Haus Visitors Center, the Castroville Historic Walking Tour and nearby Medina Lake, a popular attraction for residents and tourists alike. The walking tour features more than 50 homes, as well as commercial structures, which were all built in the 1800’s and display a marker stating the name and date of construction. Castroville even hosts some exciting annual events, such as the National Night Out, Old Fashioned 4th of July, and the Boo Bash. For this tight-knit community, there is plenty to do to keep visitors and residents busy!
