Plan a Fun Night in With Your Family

While Texas has a variety of activities for everyone in your family to enjoy, sometimes having a fun night in your beautiful home can be just as entertaining. At Perry Homes, we have come up with some tips to make your next night in one that will be cherished for a long time to come.

Plan Your Activities

What does your family like to do together? Ask everyone to write down their favorite ways to spend time with each other. If the combined list is too long to accomplish in one night, place each idea on a different slip of paper and put these slips in a hat to be randomly drawn. Even the hat drawing can be included in your family fun activity list! The activities that do not get chosen should be placed in a safe place to be revisited during the next family night.

If you and your family are struggling to come up with ideas, easy and fun activities include watching a favorite movie, playing different board games and creating different crafts. If everyone is involved in a certain activity, such as a specific sport or hobby, consider focusing your night on this shared interest. The possibilities are endless.

Enjoy Some Delicious Food

No matter what you do during your family night in, you will definitely want some delicious food to give you energy for your endeavors. Perhaps you want to include the preparation of your food into your evening’s activities. Make-your-own pizza and nachos are an entertaining activity for children and parents alike. Baked goods such as cookies or brownies can also be easy and fun to make as a family.

Depending on the activity, you may also want to prepare food ahead of time. Movies are always nicely accompanied by popcorn and candy. Board games are the perfect activity to include small bite-sized snacks that can be munched on between turns. Get Cozy

A fun night in is not truly complete unless everyone is getting truly comfortable. Encourage everyone to wear their softest pajamas and be sure that you grab many blankets and pillows in order to allow everyone to be as snug as possible.
