Throw a Spring PartyMay 2, 2019
The weather has warmed up and spring is officially here! Why not celebrate the changing season with a fun party? At Perry Homes, we want to help you create the perfect ambiance for you to celebrate this lovely season.
Make It an Outdoor Event
The whole point of a spring party is to celebrate the changing weather, so why would you not throw your party outside? Clean up your yard (or deck if you have one) and be prepared to throw your spring fling out in the approaching sunshine.
Keep the Colors Light
Spring is the time in which we celebrate the end of gloomy winter and jump forward into the love and life that comes with the season. The color scheme for your party should reflect this joyous atmosphere. Opt for a light color scheme at your party. Utilize pastels and pretty greens in order to emulate the new beginning that spring represents.
Make Some Light, Delicious Snacks
What is a party without delicious food? Your guests will come hungry and you need to deliver! While you do not have to prepare an entire meal for your guests, you should make sure that there is enough food to keep everyone happy.
While the recipes you make depends on your specific tastes and the tastes of those who will be attending your party, there are certain recipes and ideas that are sure to be winners no matter who is there. For example, you should absolutely include fresh fruits that are in season. The beginning of spring is the prime time to serve strawberries, blackberries and other delicious fruit. If you are feeling particularly decadent, invest in a chocolate fountain to serve with these fruit. Check out more ideas here.
Flowers Are Key
What says spring more than flowers? Make sure that your party includes an assortment of floral decorations and flowers in vases in order to get your guests in the spring spirit. If you have a garden, now is the perfect time to show off the fruits of your labor. If not, bouquets in vases are a beautiful addition to your decor.
Plan Spring Activities
Now that you have your area set up and looking festive, you need to make sure there are fun spring activities! Set up fun party games in your backyard such as ladder golf or bean bag toss. If you have the means, lighting a campfire can be a fun way to enjoy each other’s company once the sun goes down.
Don’t Forget the Party Favors
After all the fun is done, you want to leave a lasting impression on your party guests. Create some party favors for your guests to take home that include fun items such as spring snacks, floral decor or even cute handheld fans. The possibilities are endless.
