Perry Homes Builds Communities by Breaking Barriers to Opportunities
Houston, TX (October 2026) –As part of our continued commitment to give back to the communities we serve, Perry Homes is investing in two impactful nonprofit organizations. Both are devoted to serving under-resourced youth by providing them with meaningful resources and opportunities to succeed in life.
Communities In Schools (CIS) of Houston, Boys & Girls Clubs Greater Houston and Boys & Girls Clubs Central Florida are deserving recipients. Each organization serves youths facing hardship, but each organization has a special approach and mission. In supporting both, Perry Homes can expand efforts to bring help, hope and health to marginalized school-aged youth.
CIS of Houston provides students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve their goals. With expanded support from Perry Homes planned over the next 3 years, the organization will be able to reach more students in elementary, junior high and high schools in Houston’s East End. In addition, the organization will bring mental health support across all schools and provide support specialists in 5 HISD schools.
“Students face a myriad of barriers to success,” said Kathy Perry Britton, owner and executive chair of Perry Homes. Whether a student needs someone to talk to, extra tutoring, dental care, food or a safe place to live, CIS is there to help. Perry Homes is proud to partner with CIS and support what they do best – help students succeed in school and in life.”
Boys & Girls Clubs Greater Houston serves more than 60,000 youth annually through 20+ Clubs across five counties in the Greater Houston area. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida encompasses 39 clubs in 5 counties; clubs are located in neighborhoods that, on average, rank at the 12th percentile for household income and the 71st percentile for incarceration rates.
Statistics show that Club members make good choices, stay in school and graduate with the skills and confidence to succeed. Through academic support, mentorship, and enrichment programs, both organizations work to develop well-rounded young people to help them reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. The goal is for every member to graduate high school with a clear, positive plan for the future.
“It is an honor to play a small part in giving local youth access to positive role models, healthy activities, educational programming and opportunities to build character in a safe environment,” Britton said.
Perry Homes continues the legacy to give back and with a spirit of gratitude. The company’s founder, Bob Perry, laid the foundation for this core value. As a former educator, investing in youth was close to his heart then, and it’s close to the company’s heart today.
