Slayter Creek Park, featuring a skateboard park, playground, four lighted ball fields, a 3,600-foot walking trail and much more, is among the city's most frequented destinations. Pedestrians can also follow the Slayter Creek Trail, a 4,400-foot pathway that will eventually be integrated into a much larger trail system connecting residential and recreation areas. The park is conveniently located less than a mile from Anna Middle School, making it a popular after-school spot for younger residents.

A short 10-minute drive down the road, and mere steps from Sue Evelyn Rattan Elementary School, sits another local favorite, Natural Springs Park. While this large park does feature picnic tables, benches and walking trails, most of the land serves as a natural preserve. Visitors can enjoy the natural spring water bubbling into the park's pond or take a stroll through the trees. Future plans for this park include more trails and parking for visitors, as well as a possible dog park.

The Greater Anna Chambers of Commerce holds several annual events that connect the community and support local businesses. In Anna, TX, everything is about community. Annual events include the Greater Anna Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing in May, a 4th of July celebration, the Anna Harvest Fest in October and the Christmas Parade.

Anna, TX is home to three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school, that serve over 3,700 students. The average student-teacher ratio in the district is 16:1. Anna ISD was also ranked #84 out of 1,021 contenders for Most Diverse School Districts in Texas.
