Officially incorporated in 1914, the town of Prosper is a small country town about 45 minutes north of Dallas. Prosper started as a farming town and became a main railroad link between Dallas and Sherman in the early 1900s. Neighboring cities include McKinney, Frisco, Celina and more.

Prosper has several parks to enjoy including Frontier Park which includes a full baseball, softball and soccer complex. Frontier Park is located at the corner of Frontier Parkway and Talon Lane. Cedar Grove Park at the corner of N Preston Road and Coleman Street boasts a brand new walking and biking trail with plenty of shady wooded areas. The Gentle Creek Country Club and Golf Course is a private family-oriented golf and dining experience that is a favorite among locals.
